NAET is a non-invasive, drug-free, natural treatment for allergies. One allergen is tested at a time using a blend of treatment procedures (acupuncture, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, kinesiological, etc.).
Then, a combination of kinesiological muscle response testing, electromagnetic fields, meridian points, and spinal stimulation reprograms the nervous system to desensitize that allergen. Once the body accepts that reprogramming, it heals itself.
If you are not severely immune deficient, you can desensitize an allergen in just one treatment. If you have mild to moderate allergies, you might need 15-20 treatments.

WHAT IS NAET? NAET is an acronym for Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique. NAET, first developed in California, is based on principles from the fields of allopathic (Western medical knowledge), chiropractic, acupuncture, kinesiology and nutrition. NAET is a natural, non-invasive, and drug-free holistic treatment. Dr. Devi was born with a number of serious allergies and many health problems. She began studying the healing arts as part of her own life-long quest to help herself and other sick people. Today she is a chiropractor, an acupuncturist, a medical doctor, and a nurse. Her discovery of how to treat and eliminate allergies has not only brought her back to health, but it has also helped thousands of patients who are now allergy-free. Her workshops and symposiums have trained over 10,000 medical professionals in NAET, and today there are practitioners in every state and many foreign countries.
HOW DOES ALLERGY ELIMINATION THERAPY WORK? Allergy Elimination works by removing energy blockages in the body. These energy blockages affect the function of the organs and the immune system, causing your reactions. By removing these blockages, we remove your reactions and the body starts healing.
HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT TAKE? Expect to be here about an hour for the first session and 30-45 minutes for subsequent sessions.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED? The number of treatments depends on a few factors: how many allergies you would like to clear, as well as how many of the 15 basics you were weak/ imbalanced to. It is important to clear the basics first because those usually represent underlying imbalances that perhaps contribute to your current allergies. Some clients only require 2-3 treatments, while other, more chronic or severe cases do require many treatments. After your first consultation and exam, the practitioner will let you know about how many visits you would benefit from. The severity of your health problems and length of time you’ve been experiencing them will influence your course of care.
WHAT ARE THE BASIC 15? As Dr. Devi worked with many patients over the years, she discovered that treating basic items often brought dramatic improvements in her patients’ health. Those items are: eggs, calcium, vitamin C, vitamin B-complex, sugar, iron, vitamin A, minerals, salt, grains, yeast, acid, base, and hormones Many sick people have metabolic and biochemical imbalances. When NAET clears allergies to vitamins, minerals, and basic foods, the body can come into balance and healing can take place. Often times, people do not realize that they are even reacting to these items, but many health conditions improve as the basic 15 are treated.
DO I HAVE TO COME ON A REGULAR BASIS? Allergy Elimination is a series of treatments. People often come once per week, but it is up to you and depends on how quickly you would like to deal with your allergies. If for some reason you take a break from treatments, we just pick up where you left off. You do not need to start over.
HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER A NAET TREATMENT? Some patients report feeling energized after a treatment, while some feel very tired. I always suggest to keep hydrated because your body is going through a detox reaction. When working with emotions or the nervous system, a person may feel very mellow, calm, or have an emotional response.
WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP MYSELF PASS A TREATMENT? After a treatment, you will be given detailed instructions. Drink fluids and get plenty of rest. Avoid exposure to the treated allergen by not eating or touching it for a full 25 hours. Almost everyone that visits our office is successful in clearing their allergies when they follow these instructions.
WHEN WILL I BEGIN TO SEE AN IMPROVEMENT IN MY CONDITION? Most patients will begin to see improvements after a several treatments. Occasionally, people will start to see improvement after the very first treatment. Be patient. Often you have been suffering from this condition for years, so it will take time for the body to readjust to its new balance.
DOES ALLERGY ELIMINATION THERAPY INTERFERE WITH ANY OTHER TREATMENTS? Allergy Elimination Therapy does not interfere with any medications or treatments. However, as the body heals, you may want to adjust other treatments or medications. You must always work with your other health care providers when making any changes to your medications or care.
WILL MY ALLERGIES RETURN AFTER THE TREATMENTS? Allergy Elimination treatments are almost always permanent. Once you clear an allergy, it is expected that you will remain clear in the future. Things that may reset your treatments include physical or emotional trauma, or pregnancy and child birth, a severe illness, or a big toxic exposure.
WHAT AGE PEOPLE CAN BE TREATED? We can treat any age, from newborns upward. Children enjoy the treatments and there is no pain involved. We treat people of all ages and even offer family appointments.
IS THERE ANY PAIN INVOLVED OR NEEDLES? NAET does NOT require the use of needles. We use a massager or activator to stimulate certain acupuncture points, called gate points. This helps to open energy pathways called meridians that get blocked through allergies. It is also a good idea to do these at home, especially when symptoms arise. Your practitioner can easily teach you how to do this during your appointment.
WHAT IF I’M SKEPTICAL? WILL THAT AFFECT THE RESULTS? No. The reprogramming of the nervous system is involuntary, and any reservations on the part of a patient will not affect the outcome. Often our favorite patients are the skeptics, because once they have been successfully treated, they often become our most enthusiastic supporters.
IS ALLERGY ELIMINATION COVERED UNDER INSURANCE? Unfortunately, it is not typically covered under insurance. If you have Samaritan Ministry Health Share, it can be covered. Also HSA cards can be used.
