WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN MY FIRST VISIT? On your first visit, you'll meet with a physical therapist who will perform an evaluation and functional assessment on your pain or injury. Once the evaluation is complete, the physical therapist will review and discuss your plan of care. Treatment will begin and a home exercise program will be issued based on your diagnosis and time permitting.
WHAT IS DRY NEEDLING? Dry Needling is a soft tissue treatment directing a very small diameter needle into skin and soft tissues below muscle, tendons, capsules, and ligaments. Each needle is placed based on every patient's unique evaluation finding to directly address the patient's neuro-musculoskeletal problems.
WHY DOES DRY NEEDLING WORK? Dry needling is a non-pharmaceutical and non-specific therapy which initiates acute inflammation. It's working to stimulate the body's own healing process to restore homeostasis.
HOW CAN DRY NEEDLING HELP ME? Benefits of dry needling are many because it not only addresses the local tissue, but influences the nervous system as well.
