Renee New

Physical Therapy | NAET

After working in clinics where she would treat multiple patients in an hour, Renee finally decided to go out on her own to change her approach to patient care. She now offers a more holistic, personalized plan of care that helps her patients get to the root cause of their pain or impairment and supports them in recovering as quickly and effectively as possible.

Renee is a native West Texan from Abilene but now proudly calls Fort Worth home. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. After graduating from UTA, she completed her graduate studies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and received her Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2005. She later became certified in dry needling through the Integrative Dry Needling Institute and incorporates it into her treatment protocols to help promote shorter recovery times.

With more than 25 years of experience across a wide range of physical therapy settings — including inpatient rehab, outpatient orthopedics, home health care, and school-based therapy — Renee has worked with patients from all walks of life. In addition to her physical therapy background, she has spent the past several months training under Allison Blakewell and is now also practicing NAET, further expanding her holistic approach to wellness and helping patients address underlying sensitivities and imbalances that may be impacting their health.

Renee began her own health and wellness journey early in life and has always embraced a holistic approach to caring for herself and her family. This passion ultimately led her to become part of the Fort Worth Wellness team, where she is surrounded by like-minded healthcare professionals who are committed to making a positive difference one life at a time.

When she’s not working, Renee and her husband stay busy with their three very active boys and daughter. You may find her on the sidelines at a Heights baseball game, walking her dog, riding her bike, or enjoying a leisurely jog through her Ridglea North neighborhood.

Get to Know Renee

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a teacher or an artist when I grew up. I knew I loved working with people and loved sharing what I learned.

What are your hobbies?
I
n my spare time, I love to be active by walking, running, cycling, hiking and going to our ranch and working out there. I also want to get back into tennis soon. When I'm sitting still, I like to read, do a puzzle or be creative by making something. I love to knit, but don't have the time for it in this chapter of my life.

Favorite travel destination?
We own a ranch in Hamilton, TX so that's my favorite place to escape to when we can. I also love to visit my daughter in Boise, ID. We really love to fly fish when we are there. It's such a beautiful town. And we love to ski in Steamboat! With three boys and all the sports schedules, we don't travel a ton unless it's for a sport. If we do, it's usually to the three places I listed above and it's always somewhere we can be active.

Song you jam to on a road trip?

I have a playlist I love to listen to while I'm on a road trip. It's mostly older country like George Strait or Ranch Radio hits, but anything Mama Mia soundtrack brings a smile to my face. My favorite christian song is Build My Life by Pat Barrett. I also love 'Til You Can't by Cody Johnson.

Favorite desert?
My favorite dessert is snickerdoodle cookies or a strawberry shake.

What have you learned over your lifetime that you'd like to share with the younger generation?

You should trust in the Lord because he’ll show you the way. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to appreciate the simpler things in life. And also not to be so hard on myself when things don’t turn out how I imagined, but to learn from them and how to do better. Mistakes can be stepping stones towards growth.
